THC Job Opportunity Position: Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist Status: Casual Hours of Duty: Primarily day shift - involved in weekend, evening, and holiday on-call rotation Summary: Responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing in all areas of the department. Must understand the use and limitations of the laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of the laboratory. Must be able to learn and utilize new technology as laboratory medicine changes. Must have completed at least a 2-year AA degree in Medical Technology and current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist or eligible for certification. Previous laboratory experience preferred.
