Dear Woodland Hills Family, I hope all of you have been doing well. I am a junior this year and God is definitely showing me many things this year and I am so excited to share one of them with you now. My soccer season just wrapped up and my team was the league champions. School is also going very well; I have just over a year and a half left! One of the most exciting things about this year is our Winterim which has given me the opportunity to go to Playas, Ecuador on a mission trip. At our recent mission’s conference we were challenged to go on a short term missions trip, so I was very excited when God opened the door to Ecuador. From February 12th-20th, I will be participating in a Ben Lippen High School mission trip to Ecuador where we will partner with a newly built church in evangelism, children’s Bible lessons, and beautification projects for finishing the church. I am so excited about this trip because I feel that God wants me to open my heart to missions and I am very passionate about Latin American culture (I’m in my third year of Spanish). This trip gives us an opportunity to provide for some of the needs of the local people both spiritually and physically. Most of all, I would love for you to pray for me and the rest of the team, that God would work through us and our lives and the people of Playas to be touched by God. Also please pray that safety and good health would follow us down, that we will have smooth travel, also that all of our financial support will come in. Your prayers mean so much to me and I am thankful that each one of you is a part of my life. Beyond your prayers, if you feel led to join me by financially supporting this mission, I would be extremely grateful. I am excited about this opportunity from God and I thank you so much in advance for your prayers. I can’t wait to share what God showed me through this trip with y’all. May God bless you! Gratefully, Amy Swift

Note from Pastor Paul: I am thrilled that Amy is the first to respond to the short‐term missions challenge we issued at our Global Impact Celebration! I hope sheʼs the first of many! Amy needs to raise $1200 to cover airfare, construction and outreach materials, meals, lodging and so on. If youʼd like to contribute toward Amyʼs missionʼs trip, mark your gift “Ecuador Mission” and turn it in by December 13th. You will receive a receipt and your gift will be forwarded to Ben Lippen High School.
