Waterbirds.org User Guide
Google Analytics Waterbirds.org has a Google Analytics account managed with the
[email protected] email account. There is a plug-‐in set up to display summary analytics within the Dashboard. You can also view more detailed analytics directly on the Google Analytics account. 1) Dashboard Analytics 2) Page and Post Analytics 3) View in Google Analytics
Dashboard Analytics
1. Dashboard > Dashboard > Home 2. You will see a Google Analytics Dashboard panel that displays summary analytics for the website 3. You can select the time range you want displayed 4. You can select the information you want displayed (sessions, users, page views, locations, etc)
Page and Post Analytics 1. Dashboard > Pages > All Pages 2. You’ll see your site pages listed, and to the right there is an analytics symbol that you can click to view analytics for that specific page 3. Same for posts, go to Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
View in Google Analytics
1. Log in at http://google.com/analytics/ with the
[email protected] sign in. 2. You can also request to be added as a user with your own gmail email (contact Christine Custer). 3. Once you log in, click on WaterbirdSociety > All Web Site Data
4. The Dashboard tools for exploring your website analytics are on the left column. For example, if you want to see what pages get visited, you would go to Behavior > Site Content > All Pages. If you want to see the locations of your visitors, you would go to Audience > Geo > Location 5. The default time range is the past 30 days, but you can choose the range you want included by selecting the date range in the top right hand corner
