iOS Scholarship for Women in Technology 2013 Academic year application
Details The iOS Scholarship for Women in Technology is an opportunity for women to intern with the Apple iOS Engineering team and win a $10,000 scholarship. •
Applicants must be in at least their sophomore year pursuing a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in computer science or a related field.

Recipients must accept the summer internship to receive the scholarship money.
•
Winners will be notified by December 1, 2012.
Internship description The iOS Engineering team has no small task to manage—take the best-loved phone and tablet on the planet and continually make it better. This is where future generations of the software and user interface will be born, which makes it one of our most inspiring—and demanding—teams. As part of this team, you might work in the following areas: iOS apps and frameworks, human interface design, Internet technologies, platform services, and wireless technologies.
App proposal Submit a detailed proposal for a new iPhone or iPad app- that you’d like to develop. Be creative and consider all the technologies available to you on iOS. Your proposal should include a description of the following things: •
What is the purpose of the app?

What problem is the app solving?
•
Who is the target user for the app?
•
Describe the major user-level features of the app.
•
Describe the overall user interaction with the app. Feel free to include mockups of the user interface (screenshots or functional mockups) if that would help illustrate how the user would interact with it.
Please limit your proposal to no more than two pages. PDF format is preferred.
