Alaska School Leadership Conference Logistics We're looking forward to seeing you at our 11th Annual Alaska School Leadership Institute at the Downtown Hilton Hotel in Anchorage next week, Wednesday, May 29 - Friday, May 31. This year's focus is how to achieve quality implementation so that the promise of improvement-oriented interventions become realized in practice. Topics • Using Data for Designing Improvement Efforts • Improving Graduation Rates with Evidence-Based Practices • Improving Literacy Rates with Evidence-Based Practices • Designing a Focused Implementation Plan • Leading Improvement Efforts in Your Building or District Our goal is for you to leave with a focused, data-driven action plan to improve your graduation or student literacy rates using evidence-based practices…AND for you to have new ideas and strategies for effectively leading the plan during the next school year. As always, the institute is designed to support and sustain the ASLI professional learning community through role-alike critical friends groups discussing problems of practice, and district team planning time. Conference Resource: We will use sections from the book Dispositions of Leadership: The Effects on Student Learning and School Culture. If you have this book from a prior professional learning event please bring it with you. AGENDA and MEETING LOCATION The detailed meeting agenda and description are online.
