CREW TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

ORC: Training opportunity for women, stipend given after work is completed-- will interview women on their experiences with health care services WORLD's Community Researchers Engaging Women (CREW) project is seeking women from Oakland and surrounding communities who are interested in a training and empowerment opportunity. CREW will train a select group of women as Community Researchers who will then interview women from their networks on their experiences with healthcare services. This is a chance to make a difference in healthcare services for women while building advocacy and leadership skills. Stipends will be provided for attending the training and interviewing at least 15 women. We especially encourage women to apply who have been impacted by drugs, domestic violence, sex work, prison or jail, or homelessness, as well as transwomen and Spanish speaking women. Your perspective is valuable. Attached is the application. Deadline to apply is March 10th. For more information call Ashley at (510) 986-0340 extension 315.ORC Stands for Outreach Resource Collaborative, which includes community workers and other program staff who serve clients in Alameda County. Our purpose is to share resources and combine efforts by disseminating useful information throughout the county. Also, we meet as a group twice a year for in-person sharing and networking.
