Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Annual Report and Public Hearing February 13, 2013

1

Texas Education Code Chapter 39* requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the AEIS report; campus performance objectives; a report of violent or criminal incidents; and, information received under Texas Education Code §51.4023(e) from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

* The 2011-12 AEIS Guidelines refer to TEC Chapter 39 as it existed before amendment by House Bill (HB) 3, 81st Texas Legislature, 2009. This remains in effect through the 2011-12 school year.

2

Changes to the 2012 AEIS • TEA issued NO State accountability ratings for 2011-2012. • Due to the lack of state assessment results for most grades and no accountability information, the AEIS reports are substantially reduced for 2011-2012. • No STAAR results are shown on the 2011-2012 AEIS reports.
