Call for nominations In the Recreation, Leisure, Sports & Community Services of Lakeshore
The Town of Lakeshore seeks nominations for citizens of the community who deserve recognition for their volunteer contribution in the recreation, leisure, sports and community service. A “Community Service Award” will be presented for outstanding accomplishments in the recreational, leisure, sports and community services with two categories (youth up to 25 years) and (adult 26 years and up). Criteria for this award is based on the number of years the individual has actively volunteered, the benefit towards the community or a sole organization and various functions within the history of volunteerism. Nominees are encouraged to complete the nomination form 2014 found online at www.lakeshore.ca or by calling for a form at 519-727-0470 ext 22. The annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th, 2014 @ from 12-3pm at the new Community Centre, Millen Park Grounds in Woodslee. Nominees are invited to attend with a guest along with the person who nominated the special volunteer. Submit via email to
