Direct Answers to Questions About Electronic Contribution Q. What is electronic contribution? A. Electroic contribution is an automatic transfer program that allows you to make contributions without writing checks.

Q. When will my contribution be deducted from my account? A. Deductions will be made monthly on your choice of either the 1st or the 15th.

Q. Why is electronic contribution being offered at Pullen? A. Electronic contribution is being offered in response to members’ requests for the service. Pullen is offering the service through Vanco Services, a national company recommended by other local churches.

Q. If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight? A. Since your contribution is made at a preestablished time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date.

Q. What is the advantage of electronic contribution? A. It saves time and it simplifies your regular gifts to the church. You also help the church maintain a consistent flow of income toward monthly expenses. Q. How is my electronic contribution automatically deducted from my account? A. Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contribution is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the church’s account.

Q. Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my contribution? A. Your bank statement will include an itemized list of the electronic transfers. It is your proof of contribution. The church also mails quarterly statements of contributions. Q. Is electronic contribution risky? A. Electronic contribution is less risky than check contribution. It cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail. It has an extremely high rate of accuracy.

Q. What if I change bank accounts? A. Notify the church office and we will give you a new authorization form to complete. Q. How much does electronic contribution cost? A. It costs you nothing: however the church does incur administrative fees. The fee for activation is $1.50 and the fee for each contribution transaction is $.25. Therefore, the annual cost for a monthly contribution is $4.50. If you would like to make a gift to cover the annual cost, please make a check payable to the church and enclose it with this form. Q. What if I try electronic contribution and don’t like it? A. You may cancel your authorization by notifying the church at any time. Q. How do I sign up for electronic contribution? A. Complete and sign the authorization form below and return it to the church office along with a voided check or savings deposit slip.
