Total Lighting Control
DESCRIPTION The RPSEN-IN is an indoor photodiode light level sensor for a GE daylighting contoller. A complete assembly consists of the sensor and a remotely mounted RPCON controller. For normal installations, the sensor is wired to the controller with #20/4 (Red/ Black/Blue/White) low-voltage cable ROSWIRE-4. The RPSEN-IN and RPCON are designed as a matched set to provide direct light level readouts over a range of 10-100 footcandles… the range normally encountered in most office and classroom applications.
FEATURES • Fresnel lens with a 60° cone of response. (Reduces false triggering caused by daylighting reflected from the ground, which can cause false readings of the light levels on the task.) • Incorporates photodiode technology to allow linear response over a 10-100 fc range with direct readout of the measured light levels. • Simple ceiling mount requires only a 3⁄8" penetration hole in ceiling. • Class 2, 24VAC low-voltage wiring. Before starting, read the Installation Instructions on the reverse side. If you have questions call: 1-877-LTG-CNTL (584-2685)

INSTALLATION 1. Locate the sensor. The sensor should be located near the center of the daylit zone to be controlled. However, it must also be mounted such that the window itself is not within its viewing angle. The diagram to the right shows these minimum distances. The sensor sees a circle on the floor with a diameter approximately equal to the height of the ceiling. For example, with a ceiling height of 10 feet, you should be 5 feet from the window.
Indoor Application
2. Wire from the sensor to the RPCON. See the typical wiring diagram above. Conform to National, State and Local codes.
