Moving to Senior Leadership – So you might want to be a Head?
Being the Headteacher is a challenge – and of a church school is especially demanding. You have all the accountabilities and demands of a community school leader but the added responsibility of underpinning all that you do through the Christian faith. This course is designed to offer an opportunity to see exactly what that might look like.

The course aims to: ❖ Provide would be leaders with an overview of senior leadership ❖ Look at the day to day practicalities of leading a church school ❖ Offer an opportunity to reflect on what being the school in your community means ❖ Explore the key areas of accountability in a school, including SIAMS ❖ Discuss how senior leadership differs from middle leadership and how the Head role differs from other senior roles ❖ Provide an opportunity to meet with colleagues and discuss both best practices.
