THE COALITION HOSTS SEMI-ANNUAL MAS BASIC TRAINING Contact: The Coalition for Government Procurement Lindy Bathurst [email protected] 1990 M St NW, Suite 450 Washington, DC 20036 202-331-0975 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Washington, DC – June 4, 2012, The Coalition for Government Procurement (CGP) will hold its quarterly training seminar -- MAS Basic Training, a two-day workshop focused on the basics of using GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules program, on June 14 – 15 at the Offices of McKenna Long & Aldridge. Attendees are eligible to earn up to 10 Continued Learning Points (CLP) for attending with submission of an attendance certificate and course packet available for pick-up after the event. The workshop provides contractors with the opportunity to learn the basics of managing a schedule or refresh their contract management skills and knowledge. Special topics include using GSA e-tools, such as GSA Advantage!® and e-buy, and training on the new FAR 8.4 ordering procedures. The full schedule is available at the CGP website. This workshop is taught by experts on the front lines of GSA schedule negotiations and contract management. The coursework provides a learning opportunity that is essential to contract and program managers, compliance mangers, contracting officers, corporate general counsels, accounting and finance managers.
