Samborski becomes Director of Parks and Recreation The City of North Battleford has a new Director of Parks and Recreation. Bill Samborski will officially take over the duties of Keith Anderson, who recently announced plans to retire on December 31st, 2013. “Bill prides himself in serving the public, empowering staff and functioning as a strategic thinker,” said City Manager, Jim Toye. “Bill is a welcome addition to the senior management team.” Samborski has been the acting Director of Parks and Recreation since July 2013. He has worked for the City of North Battleford in various positions within the department since 1992, including Swimming Pool Manager and most recently, the General Manager of Facilities. “I am excited to be a part of this team, and thankful to be given the opportunity to share our collective visions of service and capacity to the residents of North Battleford, and visitors to our community,” said Samborski. Samborski feels privileged to have worked with some dynamic individuals over the span of his career and says the City has seen many changes over the years, which included improvements to parks, green space and facilities, including the Credit Union CUplex.
