JOB TITLE: Administrative/Accounting Assistant (Durango) JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating administrative functions for ASAP Accounting & Payroll Services and directly supporting the Durango office. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include, but are not limited to: • Provide a high level of customer service to our clients including receiving and directing visitors and clients. • Perform related clerical and limited data entry processing work such as mail pick up and processing, sorting and scanning, and records control. • Assist with account and payroll data entry such as receiving and entering deposits, reviewing payroll submission and reports, payroll wrap up and distribution. • Assistance with daily operations reviewing assigned, critical verifications and processing of sensitive data. Accurate recording of information is critical along with an ability to follow proper procedures and routines. • Maintenance of printer, office supplies, equipment, and a variety of software - with ability to self-diagnose IT issues. Coordinate office organization and assist in maintaining clean and presentable office space. • Exercises administrative judgment. Assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff, office, and/or quality of service. • Perform other duties, as assigned. Goals and Objectives for this position: • Become capable and comfortable with the various technological tools ASAP employs and utilizes • Become self-reliant to enter and process various client request including payroll entry Strengths & Attributes suggested for this position: • Very diligent, punctual, and reliable in job performance. Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-motivate and maintain productivity without direct supervision. Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. • Excellent customer service skills; professional and courteous in both written and oral communication. Patience and follow through with client requests and inquires. • Works for the team’s needs; performing duties each day in a complete manner, assisting in the little things to enhance the work place. Attention to detail is fundamental. • Interested in accepting responsibility so as to learn from any situation and resolve issues that arise. QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in business or related field preferred. A minimum of two years of administrative or other related experience required. COMPENSATION: $14.00/hour; this position a 25 hour/week position and is not eligible for company benefits. *Background check will be required prior to any employment offers.
