Director of Finance/Administration Hesed House is the second largest homeless shelter in Illinois, but also so much more (transitional housing, job training, counseling, etc.). We are a faith-based organization that believes that everyone deserves dignity and that ending homelessness is possible. We are looking for someone to join our leadership team. The primary role is “all things financial,” but this position is also responsible for HR record-keeping and overseeing additional administrative functions. Core Responsibilities: Primary areas of responsibility: o Finance (accounting, payroll, grant reporting, etc.) o Human resources record-keeping Supervise four staff. Be a member of the leadership team Qualifications: Strong financial background, preferably in nonprofit accounting Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) Prior leadership experience (preferably in a nonprofit setting) Prior management experience Experience with QuickBooks Sense of joy and wonder Sense of humor (preferably dry humor) Interested individuals should forward a cover letter, resume and salary history to
