Taking Root and Growing

T

he weather is warming up, plants are sprouting green leaves and flowers and our community garden is well underway! The pictures above capture some of the moments we have shared the past few weeks. With this being our first year, we are really excited to be getting our hands dirty, learning alongside other gardeners and seeing our hopes become a reality. Thanks for being a part of it! After our first meeting at the beginning of June, our brains were full with information, thoughts and ideas of how to help our gardens grow. This edition of our newsletter contains

many recaps of what was discussed and shared by Terri, our Community Educator. You will also find a reading list of recommended books along with a recipe to help you use some of your kale or swiss chard. We hope you enjoy! Our next gardening meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 14th. Please mark your calendars and invite a friend. ALL Gardeners are welcome.
