Product Description KCS™ Premium is a specially blended hydrous and calcined kaolin product to
build structure in board pre-coat applications. Application
The product is designed to provide high light scatter and coverage for base coated board applications. The combination of hydrous and calcined kaolin bulks up the coating to improve physical coverage. By incorporating calcined clay in the blend high levels of light scatter are obtained which will improve optical coverage and brightness of coated recycle board. The hydrous portion is a coarser product which helps in filling in surface imperfections and improves coating hold out. Shipping KCS™ Premium is available in slurry form.
