In New Jersey, Your College Dreams CAN Come True! New Jersey’s new Community College Opportunity Grant provides “free tuition” for those whose household income does not exceed $65,000. This funding will be awarded after all other federal, state, or institutional aid. (Funds will be deposited directly to the college.)
New Features For 2019-2020 ü Now covers dependent students who are attending college part-time (typically two classes) in a semester. ü Now covers fees for nursing, culinary, and other career and technical education programs. (More details to come!)
To Qualify, You Must... ü Have a total household adjusted gross income not exceeding $65,000. ü Not have a prior college degree. ü Complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.gov, including submission of all required documents. ü Make satisfactory academic progress.
Your Next Steps 1. Apply for financial aid. We can help you complete the FAFSA form. 2. Complete your MCCC admission application. 3. Meet with your assigned Success Coach.
