Cancellation of the May Gathering of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Pastoral Visitors of the Sick

Please note that the May Gathering of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) and Pastoral Visitors of the Sick scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2008 has been cancelled. Knowing the great response we have gotten in past years, I apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused. The May Gathering will take place NEXT year, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. The program will include workshops relating to practical issues encountered while serving in this important ministry. Topics will include issues relating to ministry to the elderly, sick children, using scripture while visiting the sick, as well as dealing with loss and grief as an EMHC.
