READ FOR THE

WIN

by Mary Brendemuhl-Schleuter & Anne Maynard

1 SOFSS/FSDL In conjunction with the 2016 Summer Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro, the summer reading program entitled “Read For the Win!” is a celebration of sports and achievement. With the Olympic Games as our inspiration, the Hurlburt Field Base Library will be encouraging our community of readers to train like Olympians in preparation for its own library version of the noble games. To become a world-class athlete or to read to succeed, it is important to feed both body and mind through proper nutrition, to practice with disciplined focus, to manage one’s time well, and to press on with determination to overcome challenges. We are challenging every member of the Hurlburt Field community to take part in our “Read for the Win” program. Suggested reading lists and books are available for all ages including the new 2016 Chief of Staff list. Online registration begins June 1. All minutes are tracked online and prizes will be given for those who register and log at least 60 minutes of reading weekly. It’s that easy! In addition, the Hurlburt
