ATTENTION POTENTIAL COLLEGE ATHLETES 1.

You must begin to prepare for your potential college academic and athletic career during your freshman year of high school. The core courses required by the NCAA are college prep. Carefully plan your course selections with your school counselor to ensure that you meet the NCAA Eligibility Center requirements.

2. Check out all of the information at the NCAA website: www.eligibilitycenter.org. Starting with the Class of 2016, there are some changes going into effect. These changes involve requiring a higher GPA and taking more college-prep classes before your senior year. 3. The core courses required by the NCAA must be college-preparatory. Please see below for the list of Lancaster High School NCAA approved core courses 4. If you register with the NCAA, there is a registration fee. Check the website for the fee. Lancaster High School’s code is 362880. If you are registered, the guidance department will send your transcripts at the end of your junior and senior year. 5. The NCAA Eligibility Center will not accept your ACT or SAT scores from your transcript. These must be sent directly from the testing agencies. The NCAA Eligibility Center’s code is 9999.

NCAA Clearinghouse Approved Classes for Lancaster High School 2016-17 Below are the NCAA-approved Lancaster High School courses that determine a Division I or Division II athlete’s eligibility. Potential college athletes should make sure that they are taking all necessary high school coursework to ensure their NCAA eligibility.
