The Canadian Red Cross and Emergency Social Services (ESS) in North Battleford are being inundated with donations which are not required at this time. It is creating a logistic problem and urge the public not to drop off any donations at the hotels. They would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of generosity, kindness and concern. The general public is advised that Red Cross and ESS are working with internal and external stakeholders to provide the necessities required for evacuees. We have no control of what is being put on face book and twitter, but what to ensure the public we will reach out if the need arises. The Red Cross & ESS is not soliciting any donations locally and if confronted by individuals stating this, ask for their Identification and report to the RCMP. We ask and truly appreciate the public support on our request.
