May's Featured Library Service: The Living History Project consists of over 80 interviews with local people about the history of Bracebridge, recorded on CD. Topics discussed range from early lumbering to growing up in Bracebridge. Longtime residents talk about their families, their businesses, their childhood activities, in a town that has grown so much in
their lifetime. You will hear about Bracebridge's first telephone service, ghosts that haunt a local inn, even how the firehall once burned down. These CDs may be borrowed and enjoyed at home. Just ask at the Information Desk upstairs.
Living History Project has over 80 interviews of local longtime residents about the history of our town.
Friends of the Library: With spring finally here, the Friends of the Library are looking forward to the Farmer's Market season. Look for us at the Bracebridge Farmer's Market on most Saturdays. We will have lots of gentlyused books for sale, library information and friendly faces happy to chat
about the Library, books and the Friends. Hope to see you in the park!
