Get Started
Create A P.O.
1. Enter your P.O. number in the text box provided. 2. Complete the billing and shipping information. 3. Click
1. Double click the SpeedSource shortcut on your desktop; or click Start, point to programs, then click SpeedSource.

Add Items With Speed Bar
2. Enter your Ingram Micro user name and password.
The Speed Bar allows you to add items directly to an order when you know the items SKU.
The Preferences dialog box appears. 3. Click the check box next to the window you want to open when you start SpeedSource. SpeedSource starts and opens the window you selected.
1. Enter the quantity of items you want to order in the text box provided. 2. Press Tab. 3. Enter the SKU of the item you want to order. 4. Press Tab. 5. Press Enter.
The Main Tool Bar provides buttons to the most commonly requested commands.

Search

Search is divided into two parts. The left side is the user-defined search area. The right side provides a guided search area.
A pop-up menu displays the functions that can be applied to the selection.
Search For Product

The TechNotes window displays the information requested.

A new window displays your search results within the Results tab of the Search window. Click a column heading to sort your results by that category.
Check Price & Availability

Real-time order status can be accessed from the Order Status window. To open the Order Status window:

To view a summary of open or shipped orders: 2. Click an order type: Open or Shipped. 3. Click
Add Product To Order
To add line items to an order, you must have entered a P.O. number in the Order window and have an active order pending. 1. Right click and drag over the item or items to be added. A pop-up menu displays the functions that can be applied to the selection. 2. Point to Add to Order. The items selected are added to your order.

A summary of your orders is displayed in the Order Status window. To view the details of a specific order, make a selection from the summary list, then click

Save Order List The Folder Manager provides a way of organizing product. It looks and functions very much like Windows Explorer. Create and name folders in the Folder Manager, then create an order list by adding product to the folder. To open the Folder Manager:
1. Click
from the Main Tool Bar; or from the
View menu choose Folder Manager.
Create New Folder 1. Click
Send Product To Order 1. Open the Folder Manager.
2. Double click the folder you want to open. The folder contents appear in the Contents window. 3. Right click and drag over the item or items to be added to an order. A pop-up menu displays the functions that can be applied to the selection. 4. Click Add to Order. The items selected are added to your order. 5. Click

Add Product To Folder
You must have a folder created and opened before adding product. 1. From a Search Results window, right click and drag over the item or items to be added to a folder. A pop-up menu displays the functions that can be applied to the selection. 2. Point to Send Selection To, then click the folder in which you want to place the selected items. The items are transferred to the folder you selected.

Generally, SpeedSource performs better with a faster processor, more memory, fewer applications running, fewer windows open within SpeedSource and a faster Internet connection. The minimum system requirements for operating SpeedSource include:
PC platform running Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT
Pentium 133-MHz processor
Monitor that supports 600 X 800 resolution
32 MB of RAM for Windows 95; 64 MB of RAM for Windows 98 and Windows NT 28.8-Kbps Internet access
The Macintosh platform is not currently supported by SpeedSource; however development is underway to provide a Macintosh version as soon as possible.
