PARKING REGULATIONS VERY IMPORTANT 1. DO NOT at any time park in the “turn around zone” at the end of our lot near the hill. We use this area to turn around when our lot is full.

Classes fill quickly; enrollments are available on a first come basis, and are normally done by telephone. Students are not guaranteed a space in class until the proper fees are paid. TO AVOID LOSING A SPACE IN ANY CLASS PLEASE REGISTER OVER THE PHONE WITH A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT AS SOON AS YOU KNOW THE CLASSES YOU WANT. Whether you register by phone, mail, or open house the studio will send out a registration packet in the mail with important papers and forms. Please look over the papers, including the pink confirmation report. This is your account information and the classes you have requested. If there are any changes or corrections, please make them on the form and return it. Please fill out and sign the registration/medical release form. (one per family) Students are not permitted to take class without this form. Please return your forms and fees (if not already paid) promptly. Your account is inactive until all forms and fees are received, clearing you to dance. The forms and fees can be mailed to the studio in the return envelope provided. Students waiting for private lesson information should complete all class information A.S.A.P. and private info will be done at the end of August. Please note – The studio is currently accepting new applications for private and semi-private lessons. Please call to inquire.

2. Please park your car in the “Lined Parking Spaces”. Do not double park or block areas that need to have traffic flowing coming in and out of our lot. 3. If the front lot is full, you may park in the back of the building. Please DO NOT park in our neighbors’ parking lot at the top of the hill! Please Do Not walk in the mulch or on our side bank area. 4. Please drive slowly and carefully at all times watching for young children. 5. Parents do not leave your children unattended, and please be watchful if you are dropping them at the front door. 6. Please do not use our parking lot or yard areas to play sports, or do other activities. 7. We are a smoke free environment, please do not smoke anywhere on our school property.

The studio is open to the public to get measured for shoes or to visit our school on the following 7 DAYS OVER THE SUMMER:

SUMMER OPEN HOUSE DATES AUGUST 21 – 24 4:00 – MON - THURS 7:30 p.m. AUGUST 28 – AUGUST 30 4:00 – MON - WED 7:30 p.m.

PROPER DANCE ATTIRE There are many styles, colors, and designs of dance shoes. We prefer to measure all students for new shoes during summer “Open House” and have them available to you before classes begin. It is usually not possible for us to measure our students during the first week of classes, so please make every effort to attend the summer open house dates when we have time and extra help to measure for shoes. All dance shoes must be the same style, color and quality at our school. Anyone who does not have the appropriate shoes must notify the director ahead of time.

ALL DANCE STUDENTS All hair pulled back appropriately for dancing No sharp objects or metal barrettes or clips No jewelry or dangle earrings No gum or food in the classroom Please pack a water bottle for class No street clothes or long shirts etc No cell phones during class GIRLS – Leotard & tights, may also wear dance shorts or pants, exercise type wear for tap and jazz. Everyone needs a dance bag and should mark name or initials inside the dance shoes since they all look the same. BOYS – Bike / Gym shorts, sweats & T-shirts (no belts, buckles or zippers on shorts or pants)

CLASSICAL BALLET GROUPS – Solid colored leotards, pink tights and hair in a bun No exceptions

WAITING AREA Nardi Studios has a smoke free environment. Our waiting area is strictly for parents to observe lessons. Please DO NOT plan on staying if you have other young children with you, as our waiting area becomes over crowded. Do not disturb the classes or teachers during lessons. Please keep the hallways that lead to studio C and D clear so students can move easily to their class, and keep our doorways clear at all times. DO NOT BRING STROLLERS INSIDE THE STUDIO

DRESSING ROOM Keep coats and boots in the dressing rooms; however take all valuables, including phones and purses with you to the classrooms. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles! Silence your phones. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DRESSING ROOMS CLEAN and remember to recycle water bottles, shoe boxes etc.

ATTENDANCE Good attendance and being ON TIME is expected of all students. Any student missing more than 3 lessons during recital time (Jan – May) may be reviewed by the teacher and director to see if they are capable of performing with the class.

RECITAL Students who have committed to being in the recital in June are expected to attend ALL STAGE AND DRESS REHEARSALS. These practices are mandatory! Anyone who misses these rehearsals will not be permitted to perform in the show. Please mark your calendars now! Show week dates are posted in our brochure and on the web site.

INCLEMENT WEATHER You will be notified for winter weather closings by e-mail, on Facebook, or by checking our website. Closings are usually posted around 12 noon and we do not go by the school district closings.

MEDIA It is important to provide and keep your e-mail up to date at all times for news, reminders, updates and recital information. Our monthly newsletter & updates including snow day cancellations goes out by email. We encourage both parents and older dance students to sign up using multiple addresses to assure getting our monthly newsletter. Remember to also “Like Us” on Facebook.
