Dog Heaven

“Daisy come here girl!” Max yelled as I had just finished using the restroom in the yard. Awwwww, why don’t you come over here and play with me?! I whined. Why doesn't he do it why doesn't he listen to me! “What is it girl!?” Max whispered, motining me to come to him. “Do you see a squirrel, huh girl huh?” Oh please, I am not like other dogs. Squirrels are so lame, But it's pointless he's not going to come outside and play with me. I ran up to him and gave him a big lick. While Max sat at the table eating something that smelled so good I sat right under him staring, with my mouth watering for the crunchy potato things. After Max dropped some of the potato things on the floor he put on a bag and left me alone in the house. I ran up to the door and I saw him leave on a big yellow bus. Why did he leave me I miss him. Please come home, Please come home, Please come home. I thought over and over again until the big yellow bus arrived in my front lawn. Max jumped out and the bus drove away. Max, Max, Max!!!! I barked pawing the door. Max ran over to me but tripped and a huge long hissing thing slithered over to him looking like he wanted a snack. MAX!!! I barked and barked until the slithering thing came 1 foot away from him. I rammed my entire body into the window and the glass went everywhere. I jumped in front of Max protecting him and before I knew it the huge slithering thing sank its teeth into my leg. The last thing I heard was Max screaming “DAISY!!!!! NOOOO”. I see white. I smell potato things. I smell my mother. I feel no pain. I hear dogs barking, but not in a mean way in a happy way. Where's Max, WHERES MAX! I barked and barked. Until my mother came over to me. Mother is it really you? What are you doing here? What is that bright white light? You’re okay my child as she licked my face and ears. I licked her back feeling very tired. I fell over and napped in the bright light. When I woke there were dogs everywhere. Different kinds of dogs too. All of them looked at me and grinned welcoming me to this amazing world. There was delicious smelling food everywhere I looked and everyone playing and having fun. I trotted over to my mom and asked her where is Max. she told me I’m not going to see him for a while but not to worry because I will see him again. Her words were as soft as a pillow and I trusted her. I still worry about Max from time to time but I am just looking forward to the day when I see him again. I hope he’s not worried about me because right now I am in an amazing place. Welcome to Dog Heaven! my mother cheered as dogs barked happily. Two dogs came up to me and asked, Do you want to play!? Of course! I exclaimed. And we trotted off into the green grass.
