Sun and Sewage to Produce Hydrogen Fuel An article that appeared recently in the Journal of the American Chemical Society- ACS Nano, researchers from University of California and collaborators sketch a novel method to generate sustainable hydrogen fuel employing sunlight and sewage. The authors claim that “the successful demonstration of such a self-biased, sustainable microbial device for hydrogen generation could provide a new solution that can simultaneously address the need for waste water treatment and the increasing demand for clean energy”.
