JUNIOR BEGINNING 2 SYLLABUS Unit 4 The textbook for Junior Beginning 1 (JB1) is American MORE! 1 (Student’s Book with Interactive CD-ROM), Starter Section, Unit 1, Unit 2 & Unit 3. The textbook goes with a Workbook & a Teacher’s Book. This is a 20-hour course that meets once a week for 2 hours. The last class is usually planned for a review and a final test. The time allotted to each unit is as follows: A. Unit 4: 6.0 hours. B. Unit 5: 6.0 hours. C. Unit 6: 6.0 hours (total contact hours: 18 hours + 2.0 hours for review & final exam). 3 quizzes are administered throughout the term; each at the end of each unit and the scores are included in the final teacher’s grade added to the final test grade. (Standard quizzes are available in the database.
