Since it was introduced in 1994, SolArc RightAngle has become the leading enterprise trade management solution for coal, fuel oil, crude oil, natural gas liquids, and refined petroleum products. Used by leading utilities such as American Electric Power, Dominion, and Dynegy, SolArc RightAngle provides the tools needed to capture a commodity purchase, sale, or transportation contract and apply pricing to value the physical movements based on delivered grade, quality, and logistics services. To manage market and delivery risk, SolArc RightAngle provides physical position reporting and inventory management capabilities to determine the financial exposure and profit/loss of a company’s total position.

Enforcing Operational Discipline Through ETM SolArc RightAngle enforces a strict operational discipline on the workflow throughout the trading enterprise. By establishing a standardized procedure that captures every scrap of data associated with a specific trade with a minimum of duplicated effort, the trading enterprise can produce more accurate reporting that will allow them to better manage the business. Once the initial deal information has been entered into SolArc RightAngle, it can be shared across all departments without the need for re-keying. Schedulers will be able to input all secondary costs required to actualize movement of physical assets, such as barges, railcars, pipelines, tankers, etc. By capturing all secondary costs and seeing them aggregated across the enterprise, schedulers will be able to better manage previously hidden costs, such as loss due to spillage or transportation handling.
