THE BURNING HELL AND RANDOLPH’S LEAP An evening of gentle and quirky song The Canadian/Scottish collaboration of The Burning Hell and Randolph's Leap brings catchy melodies, intelligent lyrics and life-affirming performances to Skye audiences. Mathias Kom and Ariel Sharratt from Toronto have toured the UK and Europe extensively, charming audiences with a whimsical appeal which belies their somewhat stark band name of The Burning Hell, which featured on Radio 4's Loose Ends in December. "Somewhere in this dark universe - for all of us there is someone to duet with." Adam Ross of Randolph's Leap was most recently on Skye as part of the cast of Right Lines Productions' acclaimed theatre show Isle of Love, which visited Kilmuir Hall last year and brilliantly showcased his songs and delighted audiences. Tha fuinn leantaileach, faclan eirmseach agus taisbeanaidhean aoibhneach rim faicinn agus rin cluinntinn anns a’ chom-pàirteachadh Chanèidianach is Albannach, The Burning Hell agus Randolph’s Leap.

What happens when your world is turned upside down and you have to find your own way?

… the sisters, now women, meet back in the forest where it all started.

When triplet sisters are abandoned in a forest by their father, three resolutions are made - one walks one way to find purpose, another the opposite way to find adventure and the third stays right where she is.

This contemporary fairytale from prolific playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer about determination and friendship is an inspiration to follow our dreams.

Over many years having grown forests, baked cakes, saved villages, crossed oceans, fought Vikings and built homes

Friday 31 May 7pm | Dihaoine 31 An Cèitean 7f SABHAL MÒR OSTAIG TDC MAIN HALL This legendary piece of Scottish theatre tells the story of the exploitation of Scottish lands, waters and people over the centuries. From the highland clearances to the oil boom, this is the universal tale of how the greed of a few blights the lives of many. Add a generous dose of Scottish rebellion and irreverence, throw in some live music and a riotous cèlidh – you’ve got yourself a rollicking great night out. Following 2015’s hugely successful restaging, this new version of The Cheviot takes the story back to its roots, visiting intimate art centres and community spaces, echoing the play’s original 1970s tour by 7:84. MALCOLM DALGLISH AND THE EXAUDI CHOIR Present PICTURE BOOK Scotland & Ireland 2019 US musician and hammer dulcimer master Malcolm Dalglish and 55 voices of Exaudi youth choir from Australia visit Skye for three concerts on their two week tour of Scotland and Ireland. Picture Book is a collection of vocal music that reimagines traditional Scots-Irish roots through works of contemporary American composer Malcolm Dalglish in collaboration with celebrated Australian choir director Mark O’Leary. Picture Book pulls us into the awe of the natural world with mythical creatures, birds, trees, and wild things. Expect settings of old time American fiddle tunes, Kentucky writer Wendell Berry’s nature poetry, and instructional hiphopperettas on the making of pie or an over-the-top peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
